Have a Cookie & Take me Out to the Ballgame

16May12

Thanks to everyone who answered yesterday’s question. The question was:

“What is your favorite cookie?”

Well, I have two favorites, and Michelle makes both of them. She makes the most awesome chocolate chip cookies ever. She makes them a lot to bring over to other places because people ask her to make them. I don’t know what she does to them (I’m not in the kitchen when she makes them; we don’t share kitchen space nicely, but that’s for another post) but I think Sean and I could most of them before she even gets to pack them up and give them away. There are times when she makes them just for us, and then we can hoard them for days.

She also makes great oatmeal raisin cookies. They are soft and chewy and have just the right mix of raisins in each one. I love the chocolate chips, but the oatmeal raisins are a very close second. I could eat them for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Hmmm, just thinking about them has made me hungry. I’ll try to survive the rest of the day without them. For today’s question, I thought I would ask something that’s relevant to what I am doing today. we have tickets to see the Mets tonight and Sean and I are definitely going, and Michelle may come along with us as well if she doesn’t get bogged down at work. That leads me to today’s question:

What’s your favorite baseball memory?

Now I know not everyone is a crazy baseball junkie like I am, but I do have quite a few friends who love the game, so let’s hear from you. Even if you are just a casual fan, I am sure there is something that stands out for you that you remember. Maybe you have a particular memory of a game you went to with someone special, or something fun or crazy happened at the ballpark the night you were there, or maybe you saw a game on television and the memory has stuck with you. Whatever it may be, let’s hear about it. I have a whole bunch of good baseball memories, so it will be hard for me to narrow it down. I’ll have to really think about this one. You can give your answer here, or on Facebook or Twitter. I’ll post my answer tomorrow and I’ll pose the question to some baseball players on Twitter and see if we get any response.

That’s the question for today. Wednesday is kind of my busy day so I don’t have a lot of time for writing. I really do want to spend some time going over some of my creative writing so I can start putting some stuff on here. If you have anything you would like to share, or a question you would like to ask or share, please feel free to leave a comment here, on my Facebook or Twitter accounts (the links are on this page) or you can send me an email at IguanaFlats@msn.com. I’ll try to take some pictures at the game tonight to post tomorrow as well. Until then, have a great day and try to do something creative today!

@IguanaFlats probably hitting a homerun last year in Nashville and obviously my debut with the Mets was pretty special

Probably throwing out the first pitch at a Nationals game. That was a once in a lifetime experience
