About Me

I am a stay-at-home dad in my forties, married for 20 years to my best friend and the love of my life, have a wonderful son who now towers over me and a cute little dog and I am a freelance writer/proofreader/editor. I have a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in English, I love to cook, listen to music, read, write, am a baseball fanatic, autograph collector and the guy at a party who always has a bottle opener on him.

I maintain two blogs, One Dad’s Kitchen and The Office of Iguana Flats. One Dad’s Kitchen is where I get to share my love of cooking and trying out recipes for my family and friends. I try to make things that are easy to follow and do and that a lot of people (especially my family) seem to like. The Office of Iguana Flats is more of an eclectic blog where I like to talk about different things, ask questions, talk about baseball, books, movies, interact with celebrities and just plain write. It also gives me a good outlet to talk about the experiences I had and still have as a result of an illness I contracted in 2009. You can read more about here if you’re interested. You can always find me on Twitter (@IguanaFlats), Facebook or leave a comment on my blogs or send me an e-mail at IguanaFlats@msn.com. Thanks for stopping by!

Hi! I’m Sue, and I’m from SlimKicker, a fitness/diet app and online website. I saw your blog today and it captured my interest!

I’m contacting you b/c we’re about to release a fitness tracker (similar to FitBit) early next year, and are looking for bloggers who would be interested in receiving 1 for free to review when it is out (negative or positive).

Would you be interested in doing this? You can email me at: sue (at) slimkicker (com) with ‘Review’ in the email heading if you are.

In case you don’t know, our online website SlimKicker basically turns your fitness/diet goals into a level up game. The tracker will work with the website, and allow people to track calories burned and number of steps they walk automatically. The more they exercise, the more points they rack up! That’s basically how it will work.

Anyway, hope to hear back either way…

    – Sue
